COLLECTING AND PRESENTING VERTICAL OBSTACLE

WHAT IS A VERTICAL OBSTACLE?

Vertical obstacles (obstructions) are objects of varying heights that arise from the terrain or the surface area of seas or lakes. They are man-made and have the capability of influencing or restricting the duties and routes of civil or military aircraft embarking on low-altitude flights, performing paradropping operations, or landing. Buildings are vertical obstacles.

  • Buildings, high antennas, chimneys, or towers, which stand higher than 30 meters outside of settlement areas and higher than 60 meters in the vicinity of settlements,
  • All overhead energy transmission and distribution lines, weight-carrying poles, cable car or chairlift carrying line poles, etc., which are built without any height limitations.
